The Intellectual Property Department
provides a comprehensive range of services, which can be divided into four main categories:

1. Legal services

Our legal services cover the following main areas:

  • Trade mark law
  • Patents
  • Copyright
  • Industrial and utility design
  • Trade and domain names
  • Geographical indication
  • Topography of integrated circuits
  • Unfair competition
  •   Trade secrets and know how

We provide the following services: 

  • advice on the registration of IPRs including at the Patent Office in Poland, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the European Patent Office.
  • advice on the protection of IPRs including copyrights, trade secrets, and know-how.
  • challenging third party IP rights.
  • litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution including appeals
  • contracts including licensing, franchising, transferring of rights, and letters of consent.
  • advising on all aspects of IPRs, including defence, negotiations, clarifications, objections, appeals and other correspondence.

 
2. IP management services

  • IP audits including reviewing and identifying both registered and unregistered IP rights, levels of protection, and providing a comprehensive IP audit report.
  • conducting IP searches, including checking IP assets in order to avoid infringement of third party rights.
  • valuing IP assets.
  • advising on and implementing a comprehensive IP protection strategy.
  • monitoring and updating protected IP rights.
  • developing IP strategies aimed at minimising the costs of protecting IP assets.

 
3. Corporate identity 

  • advising on creating a coherent visual identity, including creating a style manual, brands, logos, signs, designs, colours, websites, e-mails, adverts, business cards, and other documents.
  • developing a branding strategy, including defining a USP (unique selling point), and enhancing brand awareness and brand power to create a brand premium.

 
4. IP knowledge

We organise and participate in seminars, conferences, provide articles to leading publications, and work on a pro bono basis for NGO and other non-commercial institutions.
