The new regulations for the Polish Classification of Activities (PKD) will replace the existing PKD 2007 system, introducing a number of modifications that will have a real impact on the functioning of businesses. The changes will encompass not only the classification of economic activities but also practical aspects of company registration, obligations to the National Court Register (KRS), Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG), and Central Statistical Office (GUS), as well as reporting issues.
Changes to the PKD (Polish Classification of Activities) codes are effective from January 1, 2025. Businesses have two years to adapt their businesses to the new regulations, but it is advisable to do so earlier to avoid the risk of misclassification or registration issues. If businesses fail to update their codes themselves, the registry court will automatically assign them based on Central Statistical Office (GUS) keys, which may result in a mismatch between the PKD and their actual business.
Incorrect matching of PKD codes may result in problems with data updating, incorrect registration entries and, consequently, additional costs and formal risk.
During the webinar, TGC Corporate Lawyers experts present the most important consequences of the new regulations, point out the differences between PKD 2007 and PKD 2025, and suggest what actions are worth taking now to adapt your company safely and efficiently to the upcoming changes.
Watch now to gain practical knowledge and prepare your company for the upcoming changes!
