Coronavirus – additional guidelines for employers from 2 April

As of 2 April 2020, the government has introduced additional guidelines for employers to prevent the spread of coronavirus in workplaces.

Employers are required to introduce the following safety measures at their companies:

  • workplaces must be at least 1.5 metres apart,
  • employees must be equipped with gloves and required to wear them or,
  • disinfectants should be made available to employees in workplaces.

Non-compliance with the above recommendations, especially failure to ensure the required 1.5-metre distance between workstations, may result in the imposition of sanctions on an employer, including financial penalties of up to PLN 30,000 for non-compliance with the orders introduced in a state of epidemic hazard or a state of epidemic.
