Coronavirus – submission to CRBR deferred

In the face of the coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Finance has decided to postpone the deadline for submission to the Central Register of Beneficial Owners (CRBR) by 3 months.

13 July 2020 – new registration deadline in CRBR

As part of the government’s anti-crisis package to help companies combat the effects of coronavirus, the Ministry of Finance proposed in an official announcement issued on 19 March to defer the deadline for reporting real beneficiaries by 3 months. The obligation to register in CRBR is to be postponed from 13 April 2020 to 13 July 2020.

The postponement of registration in CRBR is aimed at reducing the current liabilities and preserving companies’ liquidity. This decision will also help to protect certain companies being in exceptionally difficult situation from high penalties for not notifying the real beneficiaries within the statutory deadline.

Sejm is expected to address the special act draft bill this Friday.
