Whether it’s a transatlantic flight or a weekend trip in a light aircraft, one thing remains constant: safety. It’s a word that defines everything in aviation. In Warsaw, during the Civil Aviation Safety and Development Congress, experts discussed how to turn theory into practice to make the skies over Poland safer.
Ensuring the safety of aviation operations is a process that requires constant verification. Global changes, such as the digital revolution and geopolitical instability, necessitate constant updating of management systems. Congress participants agreed that safety depends on interdisciplinary cooperation between all stakeholders, from operational and technical personnel, through air navigation service providers, to the supervisory authority.
The congress revealed several important strategic conclusions. First of all, it became clear that operational safety is not a state, but a continuous process whose effectiveness depends on organisational culture, the exchange of information about risks, and adaptive procedures that can respond to (and perhaps even anticipate) identified risks. Just culture and cooperation between individual entities in the aviation market are the foundation for building an environment that is resistant to errors and incidents
