Only 5% of companies say they are fully prepared to implement the requirements of the EU Pay Transparency Directive, according to a survey conducted by TGC Corporate Lawyers, Crowe and Contract Administration. Although almost half of the organisations surveyed have already started taking concrete steps, one in three is still only at the analysis stage, while 13% have not yet begun any preparations.
One of the key elements of preparation is job evaluation. Overall, 47% of survey respondents say their organisations have already carried out this process, rising to 64% among companies that are currently implementing measures to comply with the new requirements.
As Magdalena Wilkoszewska, Head of the Employment Law Department at TGC Corporate Lawyers, points out in an article published by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, preparing for the new regulations requires a much broader approach: “Employers should take a broader look at their entire remuneration system: job evaluation criteria, the rules for setting salaries, pay rises and promotions, as well as employees’ access to information and the way in which decisions are documented.”
