The EU remuneration directive will introduce a lot of new obligations for companies. Although the deadline for its implementation into Polish law is 7 June 2026 but companies should already start preparing for the entry into force of the new regulations.
The EU Pay Transparency Directive is supposed to ensure equal pay between men and women. Meanwhile, EU studies show that, on average, women in the EU currently earn around 13% less than men working in the same jobs.
Employers should already start preparing for the entry into force of the regulation and carry out a review of their pay policies to ensure that they comply with the objectives of the Directive. This mainly involves checking whether and to what extent there is a gender pay gap – explains Piotr Kryczek, Counsel, Attorney at Law at TGC Corporate Lawyers, in a comment to the Puls Biznesu portal.
