Relocation of business from Ukraine to Poland


Due to the armed conflict in Ukraine, many companies operating there have faced the necessity to relocate their business abroad. Poland is one of the most frequently chosen locations by Ukrainian entrepreneurs, also due to the newly introduced legislative facilitation.

Currently, 21 836 companies with Ukrainian capital operate in Poland, and in 2022, even before Russia’s military attack on Ukraine, 100 more such entities have been registered. In the current situation, this number will certainly multiply in the near future.

The Polish government and non-governmental organisations undertake numerous initiatives aimed at supporting Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war and helping Ukrainian entrepreneurs to relocate their companies to Poland.

    • Possibility of legal work for 18 months for those fleeing armed conflict, provided their stay in Poland is legal
    • Free access to health care system
    • Free education for children
  • Simplification of the procedure of employing persons from Ukraine:
    • Possibility of employment on the basis of a declaration on entrusting work
    • Extension of periods of legal residence
    • Possibility of registration in the Labour Office
    • Access to training and vocational counselling
