For our international Partners we have prepared a summary of the most important changes which recently took place both in our law firm and in the Polish and Slovak legislation.
In Poland the most extensive changes have been introduced by the law passed on 16 December 2016 with the aim to improve the legal environment for businesses as a part of a package of “100 laws for business”. Pursuant to the grounds of the bill, the new law relieves employers from some of their obligations and amends some provisions of the Labour Code. Furthermore, a statutory minimum wage was increased. Some changes affect also service providers. Moreover, new rules on migration law are to be introduced during 2017 as well.
In Slovakia changes in VAT legislation, amendment to the Income Tax Act and new law on Register of Public Sector Partners will definitely influence doing business there.
