The war against cyber criminals – digital security in the company from a legal perspective

The ongoing digitalisation and related development of modern technologies brings great opportunities for entrepreneurs, however it also brings significant risks. Adequate safeguards are therefore necessary, a strategy of action is needed, as well as identifying current and potential future risks.

Being prepared to defend ourselves against cyber attacks consists, on the one hand, of providing appropriate technical or digital means and solutions. Our line of defence, our fortifications and bunkers, will primarily be advanced and effective anti-virus systems and a properly configured firewall, supplemented by such precautions as frequent and systematic software updates or data encryption both “at rest” and during transfer – writes Piotr Dudek, Director of New Technologies, Defence & Aerospace at TGC Corporate Lawyers, in an article for the portal Wiadomości Handlowe.
